Rotary Chrysanthemums

The turning of the seasons and the soon coming of winter can be hard for seniors. The gift of chrysanthemums as the last flower of the season can provide a bit of cheer as the autumn rolls on. Every year around Canadian Thanksgiving the Rotary Club of Nepean Kanata participates in this annual fundraiser by direct sales and by providing delivery services.

This year think of seniors and shut-ins and purchase a plant or two and help contribute to worthy causes in you community.

As this is a very popular fundraiser consider reserving your plants early.

Cash Calendars

Enjoy the beauty of the Ottawa region all year with the purchase of a Cash Calendar. Purchasers help support the Ottawa Rotary Home Foundation, a charity focused on providing the medical, social and emotional needs for children and adults with special medical needs.

By providing temporary services to families the Foundation provides a respite from the demands of providing continuous care to keep families healthy and strong.

The calendar showcases donated photographs from local artists. Calendars are available starting in November of each year. Quantities are limited so think ahead.

Nepean-Kanata Whiskey Tasting

In collaboration with Oui Dram, the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata hosts a novel fundraiser every spring for a specific worthy local project.

In 2021, the club was able to make a significant contribution to the Crystal Bay Centre for Special Education to expand there playground equipment.

Participants will enjoy a fun and educational evening with Oui Dram while sampling a selection of fine whiskeys and lite appetizer pairings.

This event is held in the spring of each year, check our events calendar for date, place and time. A maximum of 40 spots are available so plan ahead.

Bingoland Gaming Centre

In accordance with the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association guidelines, the club provides volunteers to help staff and market Bingoland Gaming Centre operations.

In exchange the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata receives funding for local projects. In the past direct funding was provided to Langar for Hunger, The Ottawa Mission and the Caldwell Family Centre among others to help address poverty and homelessness in Ottawa.
