RYLAThe Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata supports many projects addressing education and opportunity for disadvantaged youth.

The value of education is universal but for youth in challenging circumstances it can be life changing.
Bursaries are awarded annually to a number of local special circumstances education institutions and high schools including, Youville Centre, Pinecrest Community Health Centre (Pathways to Education), Saint Nicholas Adult High School and Elizabeth Wyn Wood Alternate School.
Education is a gift that you give that no one can take away.

Each year the club sponsors several worthy youth candidates through the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA).

The RYLA program is organized by local Rotary clubs and districts and provides an intensive leadership experience while helping candidates develop leadership skills, resiliency and a sense of accomplishment while having fun and making lifelong connections. Events typically last 3-10 days and include formal learning sessions and presentations, activities, and interactive workshops covering a variety of topics.

If you know of a young person aged 14-30 who would benefit from this experience contact our club or the Rotary club in your area for details.
